Papa John’s Introduces a Vegan Festive Menu

This Christmas, American pizza chain Papa John’s is launching a range of seasonal vegan options.

The Festive Feast pizza comes decorated with all the traditional trimmings you would expect on a Christmas plate, with a red wine gravy base and a topping of roasted vegetables including seasonal sprouts.

Sprinkled with cheesy vegan ‘sheese’ and finished off with a rich cranberry drizzle, this pizza also comes packaged in a limited-edition pizza box, with specially designed illustrations by artist Mike Hughes.

The ‘Where’s Wally’ style designs show a snow-filled music festival, complete with intricate details such as pizza DJ decks, igloo pizza ovens and other fictional characters, all brought to life in Papa John’s first-ever Christmas ad.

If you are looking for a merry spread, then Papa John’s is also offering a Festive Meal Deal. For just £19.99, you can order any large pizza – which includes the festive special – and two classic sides. In addition to this, the Mince Pie scrolls are also suitable for vegans.

In an effort to raise awareness and donations to support and rebuild the lives of those affected by homelessness, Papa John’s has partnered with Crisis, as part of its ‘Christmas is Better Shared’ campaign.

Committed to helping those who are less fortunate, the pizza chain will be donating 50p from every purchase of the Festive Meal Deal to the charity.

For those that fancy ordering something else but would still like to donate to Crisis, both the Papa John’s website and app enables customers to easily donate by rounding up their order to the nearest pound.

Marketing director for Papa John’s, Giles Codd, commented: “We’re really proud to be working with Crisis this Christmas, a charity that aims to eradicate homelessness and provides vital services to people in the UK at one of the hardest times of the year.”

“Our ‘Christmas is Better Shared’ campaign, highlights the fact that this should be a time for being with people and looking after each other, and what better way to do it than over a pizza with friends and loved ones.”

“With several ways to donate to the charity, including the newly created festive merchandise store, we are hoping to smash our fundraising targets in order to help Crisis continue the fantastic work they do, not just at Christmas, but throughout the whole year”

Chief executive of Crisis, Jon Sparkes also commented: “Our society is stronger when we work together, and by working with partners, such as Papa John’s, we are able to raise awareness of homelessness and vital funds so that we can deliver our services ranging from education to housing and employment support.”

The festive menu is available nationwide from the 25th November, for a limited time only.
