Frankie & Benny’s Introduce Meat-Free Mondays with All-New Vegan Menu
The Italian-American themed restaurant chain, Frankie & Benny’s, is expanding their meat-free offering once again. They are also promoting half-price vegan dishes throughout Veganuary, to tempt more people to go vegan.
As Frankie & Benny’s react to a surge in customer demand for more meat-free options – with a reported 600,000 vegans in the UK as of 2019 – it has added seven new delicious dishes across the menu.
A collaboration with world-renowned rock star
The move follows the brand’s collaboration with world-renowned rock star Meat Loaf, to raise awareness of its Meat Free Monday initiative. The popular eatery launched its all-new vegan menu for 2020 together with the irresistible offer, in an effort to encourage more consumers to try a plant-based diet this January.
During Veganuary, the restaurant chain will offer 50 per cent off all plant-based dishes every Monday whilst every vegan main dish will also be half price each and every day this month.
The new options, including starters, mains and desserts include loaded potato skins, mushroom ravioli, a plant-based hot dog, a Calzone Vegano, a rigatoni ragu, an apple crumble and a chocolate and raspberry lava cake.
Director of strategy and brand at Frankie & Benny’s, Elise Ash, commented: “Always listening to our customers and with veganism more popular than ever, we wanted to expand our vegan range. Taking inspiration from our Italian-American classics and continually striving to improve quality, we have added not just one new dish to our menu but seven.”
“We want to encourage diners to swap meat for veg this January, but we understand that going vegan doesn’t necessarily happen overnight. So, we thought that trying Meat Free Mondays could be a good route into a vegan lifestyle. Hopefully, the initiative and offers will inspire more people to try plant-based meals this Veganuary.”
